Lift edge of plate with a sharp tool.

Pull plate completely off the mounting surface.
INSTALLATION
Thoroughly clean mounting surface with dry-cleaning
solvent (item 4, app D). Mounting surface must be free
of all contamination such as oil, grease, dirt or any
foreign matter.
Activate the back of the mounting plate with dry-
cleaning solvent (item 4, app D).
Mount the plate (1) and apply pressure to the
plate surface.
Spray or brush plate with aliphatic polyurethane coating
(item 2, app D).
PAINTING
Touch-up painting is authorized.
Filter housing compart-
ment control module and
Thoroughly clean the surfaces to be repainted. Use rags
power distribution unit
Paint surfaces with one coat of primer (item 5, app D).
Paint primed surfaces with aliphatic polyurethane coat-
ing (item 2, app D).
NOTE
Refer to TM 43-0139 for painting instruc-
tions for field use.
